We are pleased to announce that members of the Wind in the Woods Early Music Ensemble will be playing in our tea room on several occasions over the next three months. Two or three members of the group will perform:

1:30pm to 3:00pm

March 17
April 21
May 19

If you would like to have afternoon tea to the sound of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music, this is the opportunity to do so. We have limited seating in our tea room, so we encourage you to make reservations as soon as possible if you are interested.

The monthly menu for afternoon tea includes a pot of tea for each person, with the tea chosen from a collection of sixty or more varieties. We have selected teas we feel will be especially interesting, many of which have won international awards over the last few years. In addition, all the teas are available for purchase loose by the ounce at our tea bar in the main retail area.

Basically British is located in downtown Dayton in an old building known as The Cannery. In past years, the building was extensively remodeled to incorporate almost two hundred lofts, along with several retail establishments. Two art galleries, a wine shop and café, a cocktail lounge, and a nationally-recognized full-service salon, as well as Basically British call The Cannery home.The style of the building makes a particularly suitable setting for us: high ceilings, brick walls, elegant woodwork, attractive windows, hardwood floors, etc.

The menu for March is shown below. The price is $20.95 plus tax, which includes all the items on the list.

PLEASE NOTE: Our goal is to offer a tranquil setting for our adult patrons to enjoy; for this reason, we do not accept infants or children under age ten. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but we can suggest options for tea time with younger children at other tearooms in the area.
