We try our best to provide products that have good value, together with service that is prompt and efficient. To help us do this, we have adopted the following policies and terms.


  • All products are subject to availability and all prices are subject to change; however, should product or price variance issues arise, you will never be charged for anything without your prior consent.
  • Although not usually the case, actual products shipped may vary in looks from those shown in the images on this website. This reflects packaging design changes that occur occasionally on the part of the manufacturer.
  • Our products are shipped via DHL Shipping services. Orders will be shipped as soon as possible after receipt of the order and payment information. The shipping costs are estimated by the shopping cart at the time of ordering, based on the total weight of products in the order and the destination zip code; the actual shipping cost is charged as a part of the total cost of the order at the time of shipping and may be less than the estimated cost but wil not be more. If the actual shipping cost is less than estimated, the total cost of the order will be reduced accordingly before it is charged to the card. In this regard, our shipping charges reflect the true shipping costs - we do not add on handling costs or packaging costs.
  • Chocolate can get discolored due to heat when being shipped. This discoloration does not mean the chocolate is bad or not edible any longer. We cannot guarantee the chocolate will not discolor when sending to areas that tend to have hot climates. If you live in an area where heat would be an issue for shipping chocolate, you may request your order be shipped refrigerated. Just contact us to enquire about the costs for this type of shipping.
  • If your order is received damaged, please let us know promptly. If there is some mistake with your order, such as the wrong items were sent to you, or you are not happy with your order for any reason, please contact us.
  • If you have any trouble ordering from us using the shopping cart, please make sure you have cookies enabled on your browser. Please note that the financial details of all orders are transacted through industry standard secure servers.
  • Although we receive credit card information at the time an order is made through our web site, we do not charge anything to a customer's card until we ship an order.
  • To enable us to respond to a customer's order, we request information that includes customer name, address, email address and order shipping address, together with the credit or charge card information needed to enable us to transfer payment for the order. While not required, we also request a telephone number for the purposes of contacting the customer if necessary, although we endeavor to use email contact as much as possible. A telephone number also helps the shipping company to contact the recipient if there is a problem with delivery. Other than providing a shipping address and--if available--a recipient telephone number to the shipper, we stress that we will not in any way transfer any customer information to anyone or any organization outside Basically British regarding names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, credit card information, contents of the order or other data collected during the course of doing business. We maintain strict control of such information and will not release it in any way, unless legally required to do so. We will not use your telephone number to call you unless such a call is needed to clarify an order. Credit card information is retained on file only as long as required by the credit card companies and is destroyed once it is no longer needed. In the event an order is cancelled for any reason without any charges being incurred, any credit card information already received will be destroyed.
